With just the CELLv!.0 mounted using the shield and powered up and an active SIM fitted with no additional software loaded other than the X desktop should the BLUE or GREEN LED light up ? I have all 5 leds up and the RED one only I expected that the green or blue would light when is senses a good signal ?

Did you connect the antenna too? Yes, the red should change to a green/blue depending on the signal.

If the antenna is on, I'd go through the troubleshooting and simple commands just to make sure you have a signal and the antenna is connected properly. Otherwise, is the SIM an m2m SIM?

Hi
Its an ordinary SIM which works fine in a cellular phone its has a fixed IP address however Its for a Data Logger application I'm just wondering if a standard cellular router might better as changing the sim is a nightmare for the customer with CELLv1.0 !

The product you choose depends on the application... that's up to you.
