Re: Raspberry PI 3 + Cellv1.0 - Blue LED but no SMS

Good call, I was probably referring to legacy stuff. I did put together the RasPi 3 instructions here, which do differ from the old OS: http://www.sparqee.com/portfolio/sparqee-shieldrb/ I'll have time to jump on the board later today, but for the time being, steps 3 and 4: 3. Edit /boot/cmdline.txt...

Re: Raspberry PI 3 + Cellv1.0 - Blue LED but no SMS

I have the same issue: RPi II with Jessie, blue light but no sms sending possible. It hangs on the at_cmgf() command of the SparqEE module, where it prints: INFO: CMD: Full and then goes into an endless loop. Has anyone a solution to this? If it goes into an endless loop, it sounds as though the in...

Re: Where to buy?

Wasn't planning to make an add-on board - but you can jumper it. You can also make one yourself if that's interesting to you. As for buying options, it's not on Allied. You have to buy it from the UK site and they'll contact you for shipping information. It's very clunky and we're currently working ...

Re: minimal pinout for PPP connection

Types 3 or 4 depending on whether you are using USB or UART: http://www.sparqee.com/portfolio/sparqee-cell/ On minimal connections, in addition to the above, the 3 network lights (L1-3) are good to have as well. They tell you whether or not your device is on and if it is connected to a cellular netw...

Re: Arduino UNO w/o shield SMS problem

You're overdriving the board... the voltage on the Vin line is supposed to be a regulated 3.4-4.2V if it's an input. You should be shorting Vin to Vref if you're not using the shield as the shield shunts those pins together to run the 5V line through the regulator. This is referenced on the main cel...

Re: SparqEE Cellv1.0 and arduino M0 pro compatibility

You're fine. Since the Arduino and CELLv1.0 both use the serial lines, you do have to disconnect it to upload sketches. Since the Uno only has 1 HW serial UART there was really no getting around this.

Re: Problem with TTL/UART port

So it sounds like you're communicating with it over the modem, which means it's on. UART wise, your VREF needs to be whatever Voltage you're using on the USB-UART converter... if it's 5V put 5V to VREF, if you're using 3.3V put 3.3V to VREF. VIN only needs VBUS if you're powering the CELLv1.0 using ...

Re: Modem disconnect with M2M Sim Card

Could potentially be a supply issue. The usb cable is for power not for data transfer, which is why it has two heads - for peak transfer. Connecting direcy to the pi is not suggested as its supply isnt sufficient... if you do that you should go to the wall, two laptop ports, or a powered hub then th...

Re: Modem disconnect with M2M Sim Card

The full installation is different for the 3 versus the other devices. Make sure you've done that and the AMA0 is setup properly. I think focusing on the Red LED issue is the first sticking point as that needs to be blue/green in order for the system to operate correctly. http://www.sparqee.com/port...

Re: Modem disconnect with M2M Sim Card

So, the first issue is probably the red LED. That means it's not even connecting to the network. If it can't get a connection, it's probably just going to keep trying. If you've tried the same setup with a different SIM and it works just fine, I would say you need to make sure the SIM is a GSM based...
