Re: Sparqee Modem Hang

The power down needs to happen if the modem hangs (for whatever reason and is unwilling or unable to come back). Holding PO low for several seconds will shutdown the module and then toggling it more quickly will turn it back on. The functions in the library should be defined with wait times which wi...

Re: Running SparqEE Cell without Arduino Shield and using Hardware Serial 1 (Arduino Mega)

Search the forum for Mega. Should have addressed this previously. Not much is different... the mega you'll be able to use a 2nd HW serial output. Just make sure the voltage is right

Re: Unsolicited result codes

Search the forum for ZEND. I've responded to that before.

It should not happen, no.

Re: Sparqee Modem Hang

Have you done the turn off script to power it down rather than just a reset?

Re: Sparqee Modem Hang

Only a HW reset helps?

Have you implemented a protocol such as suggested in:

Re: UART stutters on startup

I wouldnt suggest changing the baud as that will cause errors too. Stick with a 1m-3m loop on reset.

If you are having these type of consistent issues, it's not common. You probably have a bad modem or driving with a bad baud.

Re: UART stutters on startup

Typically I would go through a loop to not use a product until consistent communication was established... so something like: flag_go=false 1. Check if ate1 returns 'ok', if so flag_go=true, if not flag_go=false 2. check for 'ok' and wait 10sec interval for 120sec total, if good flag_go=true, if not...

Re: Raspberry PI 3 + Cellv1.0 - Blue LED but no SMS

I have the same issue: RPi II with Jessie, blue light but no sms sending possible. It hangs on the at_cmgf() command of the SparqEE module, where it prints: INFO: CMD: Full and then goes into an endless loop. Has anyone a solution to this? Still stuck on this issue? Sounds like the modem needs to b...

Re: Request for stickies about full installation on raspberry pi's (all) and arduino

I haven't yet gotten any requests about this issue except with the new OS and board, and with the new instructions people seem to be just fine.

We'll see what we can do though... the updated instructions will most likely go on the main website rather than the forum.

Re: Raspberry PI 3 + Cellv1.0 - Blue LED but no SMS

It could also be an issue with the cmdline.txt. This is what it looks now: dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 root=/dev/mmcblk0p7 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait quiet splash plymouth.ignore-serial-consoles Can the mistake be in here? Yea, you need t...
